Pizza at Sherlock's Campus

I would never think to order a pizza at Sherlocks (I tend to visit the Campus location most frequently), but during Happy Hour their large, 14-inch pizza with three toppings was on sale for $15. That is a very good deal. So, I ordered one knowing that leftovers were in the cards. My pizza with black olives, mushrooms, and pineapple was really good. The amount of cheese was good, the sauce was not overpowering, and there was a lot of topping. The crust was thin but held up well. I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely go for the pizza here again.

When I was at the campus location of Sherlock's a week or so ago, I opted for the mini Yorkshire puddings stuffed with roast beef, with rosemary au jus. The four puddings were indeed stuffed with tender roast beef, and for one person makes the perfect meal sized portion, but I wish the horseradish came with it and did not have to be ordered to the side for an extra $1.50. Otherwise, this is a lot of fun and flavour.

While waiting for my party to arrive at Sherlock's last week, I ordered some potato crisps to pass the time. The chips were freshly made, as the few softer ones indicated, warm, and mostly crispy. The applewood flavour was like a very smoky barbecue, while the poblano avocado dip added some tang to the taste. This is an inexpensive, shareable snack.

Shepherd's Pie at Sherlock's

After shooting my first-ever Edmonton Zombie Walk, I was in need of some hot comfort food. I went to the Rice Howard Way location of The Sherlock Holmes Pub and ordered Shepherd's Pie. The dish was deep and piping hot, with beef in a savoury gravy and lots of vegetables, topped with mashed potatoes. Comfort food doesn't get more comforting than this.
