Grilled Chicken on Fried Rice at Co Do Hue

Grilled chicken on fried rice. The rice was really simple, fried with egg and not too greasy. The portion of chicken was huge and deliciously grilled. #yeg #yegfoodie #yegeats #nofilter #vietnamesefood

Just Desserts: Vanilla Bean Iced Latte and Fresh Fruit Danish at Block 1912

This is what I do after a rally. Vanilla iced latte and fresh fruit danish. I love how fresh and flaky the pastry is. #yeg #yegfoodie #yegfood #yegeats #nofilter #dessert #block1912

Just Desserts: Cinnamon Roll at Cinnaholic

Warm, dense, and full and of cinnamon. The basic icing is supposedly vanilla, but it tasted mostly from sugar, was piled high, and added even more sweetness. I would try another flavour of icing next time, and perhaps a topping. #yeg #yegfoodie #yegeats #yegfood #nofilter #cinnamonrolls

Just Desserts: Chocolate Gelato Shake at La Carraia

Wanted some gelato but went for a shake instead. I chose chocolate - no surprise - it was rather loose, and for over $8 I expected a bigger size. If I return I think I will stick with a scoop of gelato. #yeg #yegfoodie #yegeats #yegfood #gelato #nofilter

Brisket Pot Pie at Brick and Whiskey

Brisket pot pie with grilled zucchini and garlic mashed potatoes. The crust was divine, with a filing full of shredded brisket - I just wish the filling to crust proportion was a little more even. The potatoes were very garlicky, so if that’s how you like them, you’re in luck. Comfort food, and a huge portion of it. #yeg #yegfood #yegfoodie #yegeats #nofilter #brickandwhiskey #potpie

Donair Plate at King of Donair

Donair plate with onions, tomatoes, and sweet sauce on fries. I held the cheese. The meat was the right spice level and the sauce carried well on the fries. I’ll think of this like a Halifax poutine. #yeg #donair #yegfood #yegeats #yegfoodie #nofilter #kingofdonair
